MADDIE PERRY

Maddie brings unceremonial excellence to the Green Truck team. If you see someone running while on the jobsite, it’s likely Maddie. She’s gone through many phases of life before she met us, from growing up wanting to be an entomologist and then an undercover agent for the government. From her early life in Illinois, to her job handling aggressive animals as a vet-tech, Maddie goes hard in the direction of her passion.

‘If there is a throughline in the things I've done, it’s that I’ve always wanted to be a badass’.

She spent 11 years as a vet tech in Western North Carolina, but the weight of caring for animals at the end of their life or during injury weighed on her heart. She wanted something new and wanted a job that would challenge her physically. She found it with the Lake Junaluska Landscape Team where she worked for 2 years, before branching off to run her own maintenance and design company.

‘I got into it because I wanted a manual labor job, but I fell in love with the plants, the propagation house and living most of my life outside.

Maddie’s passions today are growing her cut flower business, hanging out with her daughter, collecting bugs, reading and of course being a badass at Green Truck.
